Hi, I’m Patti a Nutritionist. I empower young adults to improve their skin and balance their gut health by providing tools, knowledge, and skills in Foundational nutrition, so they can feel healthy, confident, and strong.
I believe that real-food home cooking is the key to living a long, healthy life. However, most young adults struggle to find cost-effective foods and how to cook them. Here is where I come in!
Have you been struggling to focus on basic tasks? Do you reach for the nearest caffeine source first thing in the morning? Is your brain racing at night? Do you feel bloated, tired, and irritated most of the time? Have you been longing for that beach body (or any “body”), but don’t know where to start?
I have been there! The good news is there is way to make quick improvements and see results by learning about your body and how to identify those problem foods. Because every “body” is different, what works for your friend may not work for you. I will teach you about bio-individuality: each person is a unique individual with highly individualized nutritional requirements; and how to nurture your body with natural food sources that won’t break the bank. Additionally, I will provide tons of resources to help you on your health journey; like, instructional videos, recipes, shopping guides, and more.
You are probably wondering “Who am I to tell you about any of this?”
When I was in my 20s, I smoked, ate, and drank whatever I wanted, and didn’t work out at all because you don’t think any of it will really affect you that much. Right? I was never overweight, so people assumed that I was healthy because I was “skinny”. As I got into my 30s, I noticed my body wasn’t liking all the crap I was putting into it. Garbage in, garbage out. My decision to finally quit smoking after 18 years was the big shift I needed. Once I was able to taste all kinds of foods that were masked before, it was like an epiphany! Why hadn’t I quit before? Why did I even start? I could start to actually hear my body and it was terribly angry with me.

I did my own research and tried different techniques but didn’t find true relief until I learned about Paleo and the Whole30 program. In October of 2013, I completed my first Whole30 (an elimination diet for 30 days), and I was a changed person. Not just physically, but emotionally. Who knew that your diet could impact your mood so much? As I learned all things Paleo and whole foods, I discovered the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA) through a social media feed (@cookbycolor, Whole30 Coach, NTP). Wow! I was enthralled with their vision of just being to one another and share the passion of whole foods eating with the world. I knew this was the place and the people for me.
I am happy to say that I graduated as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner in June of 2020. The knowledge I have, the people I have met, and the community I am now a part of inspires me to share it all with as many people as I can. I am passionate about cooking, shopping, reading, teaching, and talking about nutrition and the benefits of a nutrient-dense whole food diet. I know first-hand the impact this type of lifestyle can have on your whole being. It truly is a miracle. My goal is to help people learn the skills and knowledge that I wish I had back then. I believe that a well-nurtured human body can do anything it puts its mind to – quite literally.
